For me, there is nothing better than a day spent digging in the dirt, pulling weeds, or simply admiring the plants and other creatures living among them. I enjoy the seasonal changes in my garden and feel a deep sense of wonder and connection to the natural world.
My work as a landscape designer reflects my love of the natural environment. I am committed to creating beautiful, creative, and sustainable outdoor spaces that support and improve biodiversity.
Living and cultivating a garden in New England has fostered in me an appreciation for and awareness of the ephemeral qualities of landscape. I have a contemporary design inclination, while maintaining a sensitivity for the history of New England landscapes and architecture.
In 1999 I earned a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. I worked for Michael Van Valkenburg Associates in Cambridge, MA, until my second child was born.
In 2010 I was invited to design the sculpture garden at the Concord Art Association in Concord, Massachusetts. Since that time, I have been working on my own, primarily designing spaces for private residences.
